Equity Monitor

With equity monitors, you can setup an action that is trigger when a specific equity value is met to protect the account

Once logged in, click on "Configurator" and then "Equity Monitor" from the left navigation menu to access the Trade Copier page.

With equity monitors, you can setup an action that is trigger when a specific equity value is met. You can do this either below or above the current equity and select from a list of actions including sending an email alert, stopping copiers or closing trades. With equity monitors we built upon the previous implementation of equity protection and now allow you to trigger actions from both sides of the equity value.

On the equity monitors page there are two tabs, active and concluded. On the active tab, you see a list of equity monitors that are currently active for all of your accounts. On the concluded tab, you will see all equity monitors that have been completed or cancelled.

You can create an equity monitor or cancel an equity monitor. You cannot edit or delete an equity monitor. When you create an equity monitor, the status is set to active and it will appear in the active table. Once the equity monitor is triggered the status will change to complete. If you cancel the equity monitor, the status will be changed to cancelled. Both appear in the concluded table.

There are 4 types of equity monitors;

• Target Value

• Target Percentage

• Protect Value

• Protect Percentage

Equity Monitor Actions

There are 3 actions which can be performed;

• Email alert The equity monitor will send an email alert once triggered.

• Email alert and disable copiers The equity monitor will send an email alert and disable any of the account's trade copiers when triggered.

• Email alert, disable copiers and close trades The equity monitor will send an email alert, disable any of the account's trade copiers and close all open trades when triggered.

To cancel an already set equity monitor, press the red trash can on the active equity monitors page.

Create an Equity Monitor

You can create an equity monitor for each connected account. Each account can have 1 of each type of equity monitor at a time. You can cancel an equity monitor and create a new one at any time.

The create equity monitor page displays your current equity and equity percentage for your account depending on your monitor type selection.

Monitor account

Select the account which you would like to apply the equity monitor to. If you have the account connected to a copier and are using the disable copiers action, the equity monitor needs to be created with the follower account for the master copier to be disabled.

Monitor type

Select the type of equity monitor you would like to set.

There are 4 types of equity monitors;

• Target Value

• Target Percentage

• Protect Value

• Protect Percentage

Equity value

Enter the value at which the equity monitor will be triggered. If you selected the target value or protect value you will be entering the literal equity value the monitor will trigger. If you have selected the target percentage or protect percentage you will be entering the percentage the monitor will be trigger.

Monitor action

Select the action you wish to trigger ones the equity value has been met.

There are 3 actions which can be performed;

• Email alert The equity monitor will send an email alert once triggered.

• Email alert and disable copiers The equity monitor will send an email alert and disable any of the account's trade copiers when triggered.

• Email alert, disable copiers and close trades The equity monitor will send an email alert, disable any of the account's trade copiers and close all open trades when triggered.

Equity Monitor Types

There are 4 types of equity monitors;

• Target Value

• Target Percentage

• Protect Value

• Protect Percentage

Target Value

Equity monitor will be triggered once this equity value is met, used when you want to trigger ABOVE your current equity.

For example; If your current equity is 10,000 and you want to trigger an action when it reaches 11,000, select this option.

Target Percentage

Equity monitor will be triggered once your current equity percentage is ABOVE this value.

For example; If your current equity is 10,000 and you want to trigger an action when it increases by 10% i.e. 11,000, enter 110%.

Protect Value

Equity monitor will be triggered once this equity value is met, used when you want to trigger BELOW your current equity.

For example; If your current equity is 10,000 and you want to trigger an action when it reaches 9,000 select this option.

Protect Percentage

Equity monitor will be triggered once your current equity percentage is BELOW this value.

For example; If your current equity is 10,000 and you want to trigger an action when it decreases by 10% i.e. 9000, enter 90%.
